Paul “Paw” Boyce has spent most of his life around the water of Dale Hollow Lake, but oddly enough, he is as adept with a keyboard as he is with a flyrod. Riding the technological wave of the early ’90s, he not only became known as a knowledgeable angler, but as a “go-to” guy for web design and management, especially for those sites dedicated to outdoor pursuits. He currently has designed, maintains, and manages many of the sites for the marinas around Dale Hollow Lake, and his own trout fishing site, a popular hit for those looking into trout fishing the waters of middle Tennessee.
A very skilled fly tier for both fly and conventional tackle, Paw knows every bend and nook of the Obey river flowing from Dale Hollow reservoir dam He can answer all the whethertos and whyfors of trout fishing it under a variety of conditions, both seasonally and flow related.
A lovably eccentric fellow, a day with “Paw” is not only a wonderful learning experience and angling excursion, but probably one of the most conversationally stimulating days you’ll have for quite some time.
There’s not a better guy to have in the boat with you when pursuing Obey River trout than Paul Boyce.
