Kayaks, Paddlers, and Paddling: This is what Jackson Kayak is about. We are a very altruistic/ideal focused group of people with quality, innovation, and “leaving the world a better place” as the core.
Jackson Kayak was born in 2003 with EJ and Tony Lunt as co-founders. We have assembled the best team in the world of people commited to the cause over the past 7 years and are relentless in the pursuit of quality and performance.
We are located in Sparta, TN in our 100,000 square foot facility, in a town of 8,000 people. We have about 120 employees and make products for whitewater, recreational paddling, touring, fishing, accessories, clothing, and even do custom manufacturing for playgrounds, other kayak companies, and more.
We make our plastic kayaks in Sparta, and just about every component as well. Each year we become more self-sufficient in our manufacturing.
Come visit sometime, and take a tour!

As avid anglers and guides of Stone’s Throw Adventures, Cory Allen and Jase Bouldin have found that in their freshwater river pursuits of trout, stripers, and of course, our signature trophy musky kayak hunts, the Coosa Angling Kayak that helped Jackson Kayaks take the angling world by storm are the perfect fit for their needs in getting into the remote, shallow, and rapid-ridden haunts as they follow the seasonal movements of trophy muskellunge in the waters around Rock Island, Tennessee, just out the back door of the Jackson Kayak HQ. These boats are not only stable enough to stand and fish for freshwater’s ultimate prize, and allow them to do boat-side combat in the dance of the “figure-8″ with fish well past the 30 lb mark, but have the features that their intense angling demands, such as conveniently placed rod-holders, dry storage, and their patented hi-lo seat, as well as having the sheer grit and handling to tackle rapids up to Class-III whitewater to get into areas that would literally eat other angling kayaks alive.
Jackson Kayaks, to complement their revolutionary Coosa kayak, are introducing two new boats this fall, the Cuda and the Big Tuna, specialty boats designed for more big water applications, but still retaining the abilities that allow for ease of use in the more intimate river settings that the Coosa was designed to dominate in. If you would like to check out these their entire line of angling-specific kayaks, click on the link to http://jacksonkayak.com/jk-kayaks/kayak-fishing.
Both Jase and Cory, as well as Jackson Kayak Fishing Team Leader Drew Gregory, stand by [and in...] their kayaks as the finest paddle-craft for freshwater and in-shore/offshore salwater angling. Here at Stone’s Throw Adventures, we can’t rely on anything but the best in our pursuits, and there are none better than Jackson Kayaks on the market today.
