After a spring of disappointing days and nice fish throwing the hook back at my face, with a fraction of the fish to show for it as compared to this time last year, the slump is over. On the past few guide trips, we’ve been averaging 3 fish a trip and losing just about as many. Fish are running up into the mid-40s but most are in the high-30s low 40s, and the possibility for a giant persists until the end of the spawn. I’ll try to get on and post pics once I’ve altered the images to protect the innocent [i.e. the fish]. Tight lines, y’all.
